Preschool & Kindergarten

With love, respect, and tenderheartedness, Mrs. Beverly Herod teaches the Sonshine Kindergartners a love for learning. The Kindergarten's excellent curriculum will assist your child in learning how to read, write, and learn math concepts and skills needed for First Grade.

After teaching Kindergarten for more than 30 years, Mrs. Herod enriches each child's education with the knowledge of history and the world around us, and to be creative through art expression. Children are taught the valuable character traits from the Bible and both preschool and Kindergarten classes are equipped with computer labs where children learn basic computer skills.

Understanding the inherent importance of communication, Mrs. Herod provides parents with weekly notices about lessons and current events. Parent participation in the classroom is encouraged and Mrs. Herod will ask you to partner with her to make your child's Kindergarten year the very best.
